This ship-in-a-bottle was originally a highly decorated yacht produced by the City of Amsterdam in 1660. This yacht was gifted to Charles II, King of England. The King was so pleased with the gift that he decided to create special regattas for this type of vessel and coined the nautical term Yacht, derived from the Dutch word "Jaghtschip", which meant "fast pirate ship". The Golden Yacht kit includes pre-cut wooden parts, brass photo-etched decks, keel, decorated bulwarks, and a beautiful glass bottle for a museum quality finish. Scale: 1:300 Total length: 3.7 inches
