For millennia, juice from the unripe jagua fruit (Genipa americana) has been used to decorate the body. This Amazonian fruit produces a permanent, bluish-black stain that lasts until the skin fully exfoliates (approximately 1-2 weeks). The mixed jagua gel will keep for at least one month before losing potency; refrigerate or freeze to extend its shelf life.
