Our Sour Cream Powder is made from Sour Cream Powder (Cream, Cultures, & Lactic Acid), Cultured Nonfat Milk Solids, & Citric Acid. Once the package is opened, reseal container to lengthen its shelf life.
Mixed with water, Sour Cream Powder can be used in practically anything you can think of as a replacement for the refrigerated version. Create dips, sauces, potatoes, cakes, muffins, spreads, and casseroles - you name it- with sour cream powder!
Try this sour cream biscuit recipe:
1 cup lemon/lime flavored soda, 8 ounces sour cream, 4 cups flour, 1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder, and ½ tsp. salt. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Mix the wet ingredients and gradually add the dry ingredients. Roll the dough on a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass rim. Bake 20 minutes.
For variations, you may want to add cheddar cheese powder, smoked black pepper, dill weed, or whole sweet basil.
Store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 year.
